About the Position
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years in a critical care environment License: Pending license accepted Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: Telemetry, Vents, and critical care equipment management experience Description: With the opening of a new tower, there may be a need for staff to switch departments. If asked to switch, the current bill rate will be honored. COVID vaccination is required; exemptions will be accepted with completion of the exemption form, signed by a provider for medical reasons. Travelers will have experience in a medical ICU setting. Ratios are 1:2. Weekend requirements will vary based on unit needs. Floating to other ICU areas, PCU floors, and ED to care for admitted patients may be required. Staff must be open to accommodating block scheduling, although it is not guaranteed. Specialty equipment experience includes CRRT, ECMO, Impella, IABP, and device certification is required for these. Standard ICU equipment includes ventilators, arterial lines, central venous access, pulmonary artery catheters, and vasoactive drip titrations. The medical ICU patient population includes those with sepsis, ARDS, end-stage renal disease, and more. Pre-approved time off is limited, and there are restrictions on holiday requests. Drugs screens will be required within a specific timeframe after signing the contract. Modules will be assigned during onboarding and are billable up to a limited duration. Please note that compliance requirements are strict, and candidates must be available for onboarding immediately after signing.
