Description

• Deliver individualized speech therapy interventions targeting aspects of communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
• Work closely with healthcare professionals-including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and physicians-to ensure cohesive care strategies.
• Educate patients and their families to foster progress beyond the clinical setting.
• Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and interventions, promoting seamless care throughout the treatment continuum.
• Document patient progress with utmost accuracy, adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
• Engage in continuous professional development, remaining abreast of advancements in the field through education and collaboration.

Education

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
• Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), if not yet ASHA-certified.

Certifications

• Licensed as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Florida.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
