Work Environment

Our practice operates five days a week, from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a structured schedule that promotes work-life balance. The facility is designed to create a positive and engaging atmosphere for both our patients and staff. As part of a small team that includes two physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), you will have the opportunity to provide personalized care in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine patient needs, goals, and progress throughout their therapeutic journey.
• Maintain a patient load of one individual per hour, ensuring focused and tailored treatment for each patient.
• Utilize advanced orthopedic assessment techniques to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans that optimize patient mobility and function.
• Provide cost-effective therapy interventions that aim to reduce dependency on medications and encourage non-surgical alternatives.
• Design and customize fitness and wellness programs that meet the unique needs and goals of individual patients.
• Document patient progress and the effectiveness of treatments using EMR software, such as WebPT.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to enhance patient outcomes and share insights on treatment efficacy.
• Motivate patients to actively participate in their rehabilitation, instilling them with the confidence to regain movement and strength.
• Educate patients and their families on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices that promote long-term wellness.

Patient Population / Client Focus

At Grandcare Physical Therapy Services, we primarily serve patients with private medical insurance who are dealing with a variety of orthopedic issues, including post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic ranges from athletes seeking to return to their sport to older adults striving to maintain mobility and independence. Understanding the diverse needs of our patient population will be crucial in tailoring effective treatment plans that enhance their recovery experience.

Qualifications

• Possession of a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Virginia, with no disciplinary actions against it.
• Strong manual therapy skills and proficiency in developing exercise routines that facilitate recovery.
• Experience within an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline patient documentation and care processes.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in orthopedic outpatient care is highly desirable, we welcome early-career professionals who possess enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with patients are critical for success in this role, as are effective communication skills for collaborating with other healthcare professionals.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
