Masuda Movement Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist for a full-time position in our orthopedic outpatient practice located in vibrant Norfolk, Virginia. In this pivotal role, you will not only aim to restore mobility and function to our patients but also enhance their overall quality of life. You will implement evidence-based practices while working within a collaborative and supportive healthcare team, all within a state-of-the-art facility designed to foster optimal patient care.

We primarily cater to patients with private medical insurance, allowing us to focus on delivering personalized care that empowers individuals on their journey toward recovery.

Work Environment

Our collaborative and dynamic work setting features a team of two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA). The facility is designed to offer a welcoming environment where both patients and staff feel supported. As a full-time team member, you will work from Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while you develop therapeutic relationships with your patient population.

Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Assessing patients to identify their unique treatment objectives and requirements in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
• Managing a patient caseload of one appointment per hour, ensuring each individual receives tailored and effective treatment.
• Formulating comprehensive care plans that incorporate a wide array of therapeutic techniques, thereby enhancing patients' motion and mobility.
• Utilizing manual therapy skills and advanced treatment modalities to minimize pain and improve functional abilities.
• Documenting patient progress thoroughly and accurately, ensuring seamless communication within the healthcare team using EMR software platforms, particularly WebPT.
• Motivating and educating patients about their care plans to promote adherence and long-term success.
• Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic and integrated patient care tailored to individual needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily include individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries who are seeking to regain their everyday functionality. With a focus on private insurance reimbursement, we cater to a patient demographic that values high-quality, tailored rehabilitation services. You will take pride in being a crucial advocate for better health, improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination for a diverse client base.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should possess the following credentials:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Norfolk, Virginia.
• A clean background with no disciplinary or board actions against the license.
• Proficiency in manual therapy techniques and a solid foundation in orthopedic rehabilitation principles.

Preferred Experience

While prior experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is necessary, the following are preferred:

• Demonstrated skill in developing personalized exercise regimens that fit the needs of varied patients.
• Adeptness in utilizing EMR software, especially WebPT, to efficiently manage patient information and progress.
• A proactive approach towards continuing education and adopting innovative rehabilitation strategies.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive yearly salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with comprehensive benefits designed to support your well-being and professional growth.
