Position Overview

Family First Physical Therapy is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Chesapeake, Virginia. This full-time position is centered around the rehabilitation of patients with orthopedic conditions, emphasizing a holistic approach to improve their mobility and overall quality of life. Our state-of-the-art facility encompasses 5,000 square feet of advanced sports medicine equipment, which enables us to equip our physical therapists with the best tools for effective rehabilitation. We take pride in our team of experienced professionals, including two physical therapists and one physical therapist assistant (PTA), all dedicated to providing outstanding service primarily to patients with private medical insurance.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our Chesapeake rehabilitation center, where our team collaborates closely to deliver high-quality care. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced approach to work and personal time. The atmosphere is dynamic and collaborative, fostering open communication and teamwork among staff and patients alike.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments to identify patients' needs and establish personalized treatment goals.
• Manage a patient caseload effectively, typically treating one patient per hour to provide focused care.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that incorporate a variety of therapeutic techniques, ensuring comprehensive patient rehabilitation.
• Utilize advanced manual therapy skills to facilitate recovery and improve patient outcomes.
• Educate patients on exercises and wellness strategies that promote healing and prevent future injuries.
• Monitor treatment efficacy, evaluate patient progress, and adjust care plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously within our electronic medical record (EMR) system, specifically WebPT, maintaining compliance and quality standards.
• Advocate for patients by recommending alternative pain management strategies that minimize reliance on medications and avoid unnecessary surgeries.
• Work in conjunction with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and better patient health management.
• Encourage and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, fostering resilience and a proactive approach to health.

Our practice primarily caters to individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries, including postoperative rehabilitation and musculoskeletal disorders. As a Physical Therapist here, you will support a diverse range of patients, from athletes seeking to maintain their peak performance to older adults aiming to improve their mobility and independence. Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist.
• An immaculate professional record with no history of board or disciplinary actions related to the license.
• Proven expertise in manual therapy techniques and the creation of effective exercise protocols.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, specifically WebPT, to seamlessly integrate documentation into workflows.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist in an orthopedic outpatient setting, demonstrating a strong foundation in rehabilitative practices.
• Experience collaborating within a team to deliver comprehensive healthcare solutions and outstanding patient care.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 100,000 and USD 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
