Social Media Manager

Role Description

We're looking for a social media manager to join our marketing team and help bring Later's brand to life across the social platforms where we connect with brands and creators. This role is built for someone who is equally at home developing a content strategy, executing a full publishing calendar, and stepping in front of the camera to create compelling on-platform content.

You'll partner closely with our existing social media manager to share ownership of Later's owned social presence, collaborating on strategy, content creation, community engagement, and performance reporting. Reporting to the Senior Content Marketing Manager, this role is at the intersection of all parts of our Marketing team.

What you'll be doing:

• Content strategy and planning:
  • Own and contribute to Later's social media content calendar across priority platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and YouTube.
  • Partner with your fellow social media manager to develop quarterly and monthly content themes.
  • Identify trending formats, sounds, and cultural conversations early.
  • Develop and maintain platform-specific strategies.
  • Collaborate with Content, Creative, and Growth Marketing teams.
• Content creation and on-camera presence:
  • Conceive, produce, and appear in short-form video content.
  • Write compelling copy for social posts, captions, and video scripts.
  • Collaborate with the Creative team on asset production.
  • Produce content that spans the full spectrum of formats.
  • Bring a creator's sensibility to your work.
• Community management and engagement:
  • Monitor and actively engage with Later's social communities.
  • Identify and engage with creators, customers, and brand advocates.
  • Surface recurring questions, feedback themes, and audience sentiment.
• Analytics and performance:
  • Track, analyze, and report on social performance metrics.
  • Partner with the Demand Generation team.
  • Use Later's own platform tools for scheduling and analytics.
  • Run regular content experiments.
• Cross-functional collaboration:
  • Partner with the Content team to amplify and repurpose content.
  • Collaborate with the Influencer and Creator teams.
  • Work with Customer Marketing to communicate success stories.

What success looks like:

• Within the first 60 days, you have a clear understanding of Later's social voice and are actively contributing to the content calendar.
• By 90 days, you have produced a body of on-camera content that resonates with Later's audience.
• At the six-month mark, Later's owned social channels reflect a consistent, elevated creative standard.
• Within your first year, you have established yourself as a trusted creative collaborator across the marketing team.
• Your community management work contributes to measurable improvement in audience sentiment.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of hands-on social media management experience.
• Demonstrated comfort and confidence on camera.
• Deep, current platform knowledge across Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Experience managing social content calendars and publishing workflows.
• Comfort with social analytics tools.
• Collaborative working style.
• Genuine enthusiasm for the creator economy and social media trends.
• Experience using social media management platforms.
• Bonus: hands-on experience with Later's platform.

• Salary range: $90,000-120,000.
