Job Details Specialty: Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) Employment Type: Travel Nurse Contract Contract Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour night shifts Hours per Week: 36 Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,160 - $2,270 Start Date: 09/28/2026 Location: Madison, Wisconsin Schedule Notes: Every other weekend rotation, some holidays, no call Orientation: 24 hours Floating: May be required as needed Job Requirements Active Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience within the last 3 years in CVICU or a closely related specialty CVICU nursing experience required Experience with NextStage CVVH required Epic charting experience required BLS and ACLS certifications required Travel RN experience required Experience in cardiothoracic surgery and/or an acuity adaptable setting preferred Must be able to pass a telemetry assessment prior to start Responsibilities Provide expert nursing care for adult and geriatric patients with complex cardiovascular and thoracic conditions Monitor and manage patients recovering from cardiothoracic surgery and advanced cardiac interventions Care for patients supported by CRRT, IABP, Impella, LVAD, ECMO, and vasoactive infusions Interpret dysrhythmias and support telemetry-based clinical decision-making Manage ventilated patients, arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and advanced cardiac monitoring Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to deliver safe, coordinated, patient-centered care Adapt quickly to changing acuity and shifting assignments in a dynamic cardiovascular ICU setting Support patients and families with professionalism, compassion, and strong clinical judgment Apply now for this exciting CVICU travel nursing job in Madison, Wisconsin, and join a team committed to high-quality cardiovascular critical care.
