BILLING SPECIALIST

Edmonson Electric, the premier residential electrical contractor in Tampa Bay, is searching for a Billing Specialist to add to its team in the Land o lakes area. Prior experience with any homebuilder or homebuilders is required. i.e (Pulte, Lennar, Taylor Morrison, David Weekley, etc)

What we are looking for!

The Billing Specialist will gather data, calculate charges and fees, and create invoices for billing purposes.

Some Duties/Responsibilities Include:
• Calculates costs for services.
• Verifies accuracy of billing data, correcting any errors.
• Creates itemized invoices, and other necessary billing documents, which may require calculation of discounts.
• Performs general bookkeeping work, which may include entering data and maintaining records, invoices, and supporting documents of amounts due for services rendered.
• Contacts customers to obtain, verify, and update account information when necessary.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to solve problems as they rise
• Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software.
• Must have time management skills, organizational skills, multitasking skills, and detailed oriented.
• Be able to stay focused on tasks and able to work well under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills including active listening and attentiveness.
• Knowledge, willingness of, or ability to learn, product, service, or area of customer service specialization.

Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years of billing or administrative experience required.
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office and Outlook.
• Previous experience in office preferred.

Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
