Job Description

Step into a supportive school-based environment where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) will directly shape student outcomes. This rewarding contract opportunity is situated near Lansdale, PA and spans both the current school year (March 15 June 11) and extended school year (July 5 August 5). You'll provide full-time services, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm.

You'll collaborate with a vibrant group of students approximately 24-34 individuals ages 5-21 who are blind, visually impaired, and present with multiple disabilities. Your work will support their communication access, growth, and learning within a multidisciplinary team.

What we're looking for:

• Current Pennsylvania SLP licensure or eligibility
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Experience or strong interest in school-based practice, with a focus on diverse and complex student populations
• Familiarity with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) preferred
• Comfortable managing a mixed-age caseload
• Compassion, flexibility, and a collaborative spirit essential

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting assessments tailored for students with visual impairments and multiple disabilities
• Developing and implementing individualized speech/language intervention plans
• Integrating Augmentative and Alternative Communication strategies as needed
• Participating in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team collaborations
• Tracking student progress and maintaining clear, compliant documentation
• Engaging creatively with students and staff to promote communication improvement
