In this full-time remote position, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals navigating the complexities of trauma recovery. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to gather detailed insights into patients' trauma histories, guiding their personalized treatment plans. Design and implement individualized treatment strategies that focus on trauma recovery, ensuring each client’s unique needs are addressed. Utilize evidence-based modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate effective healing. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma, develop effective coping mechanisms, and encourage healing. Collaborate with psychiatrists and other specialists to deliver integrated and comprehensive care, aligning therapeutic efforts for holistic patient outcomes. Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies to ensure patients’ safety and mental well-being. Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and available resources to empower them in their recovery journey. Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, ensuring seamless communication within the care team. Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions to deepen your understanding of trauma-informed care practices. Stay updated with current research and emerging best practices in trauma therapy to enhance therapeutic effectiveness. Patient Population / Client Focus Your primary focus will be on individuals affected by various forms of trauma, offering therapeutic interventions that recognize the complexities of their experiences. You will work with a diverse patient population, including adults and possibly adolescents, allowing you to expand your therapeutic skills while making a meaningful impact on clients’ lives. Qualifications A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas. Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, preferably with a focus on trauma. Strong foundational knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities. Experience delivering trauma-focused therapies effectively, utilizing a range of therapeutic tools and techniques. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach to care. Demonstrated ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations while providing supportive care. Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and relevant computer applications to manage patient information efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, fostering a supportive work environment. Preferred Experience Preference will be given to candidates with extensive experience in trauma therapy and a proven track record of successful outcomes with similar patient populations. Familiarity with specific therapeutic modalities such as EMDR and TF-CBT is highly desirable. Compensation and Benefits We believe in recognizing the value of your expertise. The salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $110,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
