We are currently seeking a talented and empathetic Nurse Practitioner to join our Dermatology team at the Mishawaka Day Road Plaza Clinic. This role is essential in helping us deliver high-quality care and meet the diverse needs of our patients with professionalism and commitment.

Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner with our organization, you will have the chance to:

• Conduct thorough skin assessments, perform and interpret diagnostic tests, and create individualized care plans.

• Order diagnostic tests, skin biopsies, laboratory work, x-rays, and other non-invasive procedures.

• Collaborate with supervising physicians and refer patients to appropriate specialists for issues beyond the NP's scope of practice.

• Maintain communication with referring physicians while delivering exceptional patient care.

• Prescribe medications within the scope of practice, with oversight from collaborating physicians and the necessary mid-level practitioner-controlled substance license.

• Advise patients on their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures, tailoring communication to meet the patient's age, psychosocial, and cultural needs for optimal health outcomes in line with practice protocols.

• Detail-oriented in managing patient information and documenting progress.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills, demonstrating a friendly and approachable demeanor, effectively resolving patient concerns, and applying strong customer service principles to ensure a positive experience.

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and national certification in the relevant specialty (ANCC).

• Current state licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse and Registered Nurse in Indiana.

• Current CPR (BLS) certification.

• An active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License may be required based on prescriptive authority.
