Overview

Our organization is dedicated to enhancing the health of the Michiana community by offering accessible primary, specialty, and urgent care services right in the neighborhood. We are currently expanding our OB/GYN team in South Bend and are in search of a talented and empathetic provider to join our close-knit and collaborative group. This role will help us continue delivering high-quality care and meet the needs of our patients with professionalism and commitment.

This position is entirely outpatient and clinic-based, concentrating on well-woman care and gynecological health. It does not involve obstetrics, labor and delivery, or hospital on-call duties. The provider will be responsible for routine women's health appointments, preventive care, pelvic health, and fertility services. We welcome applications from new graduates!

As a Nurse Practitioner with our organization, you will have the opportunity to:

• Conduct patient examinations, document physical assessments, analyze data, create care plans, and manage minor illnesses and injuries according to established protocols. You will assist with or perform both invasive and non-invasive procedures within your scope of practice, providing comprehensive gynecological care in an outpatient environment.

• Order laboratory tests, x-rays, and other non-invasive diagnostic procedures. Collaborate with supervising physicians and refer patients to appropriate specialists for issues that exceed your scope of practice. Ensure effective communication with referring providers or supervising physicians.

• Prescribe medications within your scope of practice, with oversight from a collaborating physician, and maintain the necessary mid-level practitioner-controlled substance license. Educate patients and their families on healthcare, illness prevention, and home care, tailoring communication to meet the patient's age, psychosocial, and cultural needs to achieve optimal health outcomes in line with practice protocols.

• Detail-oriented in maintaining patient-related information and documenting patient progress accurately.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and national certification in the relevant specialty (ANCC).

• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse.

• Current CPR (BLS) certification.

• An active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License may be required based on prescriptive authority.
