Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner with our organization, you will have the chance to:

• Conduct patient assessments and examinations, document physical exams, analyze data, create care plans, and treat minor illnesses and injuries according to established protocols. Assist with or perform both invasive and non-invasive procedures within your scope of practice.

• Order laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures. Collaborate with supervising physicians and refer patients to appropriate specialists for issues that exceed your scope of practice. Complete communications to referring providers or supervising physicians.

• Prescribe medications within your scope of practice, under the oversight of a collaborating physician, and maintain the necessary mid-level practitioner-controlled substance license.

• Educate patients and their families on health care, illness prevention, and home care, tailoring communication to meet the patient's age, psychosocial, and cultural needs to achieve the best health outcomes in line with practice protocols.

Qualifications

• Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program and national certification in the relevant specialty (ANCC).

• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse.

• Current CPR (BLS) certification.

• Active Mid-level Practitioner Controlled Substance License and DEA License may be necessary based on prescriptive authority.
