Senior Accountant

Location: Las Vegas, NV Reports To: Senior Accounting Manager Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support the accounting and financial reporting functions for a diversified real estate investment and development portfolio. This role will assist with month-end close, financial reporting, accounts payable, construction draw administration, account reconciliations, and project accounting across multiple entities and development projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong real estate accounting foundation, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced real estate investment and development environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support schedules. Support month-end and year-end close processes. Manage accounts payable processing, including vendor invoices, subcontractor billings, payment runs, and maintenance of supporting documentation. Coordinate monthly construction draw requests, track project costs, compile supporting documentation, and work with lenders, contractors, and project managers to ensure timely funding. Track project costs, budgets, commitments, and capital expenditures for development projects. Maintain general ledger activity and intercompany transactions across multiple entities. Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and balance sheet accounts. Assist with cash management and reporting. Support annual audits, tax preparation, and compliance requirements. Collaborate with development, property management, asset management, and executive teams to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, construction, property management, or public accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with accounting software; Yardi, MRI, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar systems preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
