Medical Lab Technologist
Labcorp
Labcorp seeks a Medical Lab Technologist for third-shift work at its Portland laboratory facility. The role involves performing clinical testing procedures in hematology, urinalysis, and coagulation, with responsibilities for specimen evaluation, instrument operation, quality control, and accurate result reporting.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate specimen acceptability using established testing criteria
- Perform routine and complex technical procedures in hematology, urinalysis, coagulation
- Operate, monitor, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation
- Execute preventive maintenance and quality control documentation
- Report accurate and timely test results for patient care quality
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Life Science or Medical Technology
- ASCP or AMT certification
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- One year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and multitasking capability
- Proficient communication skills, written and verbal
