Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients’ histories and needs, ensuring a personalized approach to treatment.

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at promoting resilience and facilitating recovery from trauma.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver effective interventions.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, helping clients process their trauma and build coping mechanisms through experiential and relational techniques.

• Provide crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring clients receive immediate and compassionate assistance.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordination of care, sharing insights and strategies for optimal client outcomes.

• Educate clients and their families on trauma responses and coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.

• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical mandates, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems effectively.

• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and training opportunities to enhance skills in trauma-informed practices.

• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in trauma therapy, integrating new findings into treatment interventions.

By focusing on creating a supportive and understanding therapeutic relationship, you will help clients navigate their healing journeys, work through past experiences, and establish coping strategies to manage their emotions and reactions effectively.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Illinois.

• Proficient understanding of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment approaches.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
