Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients’ mood disorder symptoms, assessing severity, frequency, and duration to tailor effective treatment plans.

• Collaborate closely with clients to develop individualized treatment strategies that reflect their unique goals and preferences.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders effectively.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care techniques.

• Monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing evaluations and feedback.

• Work in tandem with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide a holistic approach to client care.

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in mental health treatment and research to continuously enhance your clinical practice.

• Maintain accurate and secure documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans in line with legal and ethical guidelines.

• Participate in regular team meetings and case consultations to share insights and enhance collaborative practice.

• Advocate for clients, emphasizing the importance of mental health awareness and removing the stigma associated with mood disorders.

The primary focus of this role will be individuals grappling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.

• Demonstrable proficiency in evidence-based treatment approaches for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.

• Understanding of psychopharmacological treatments to effectively collaborate with prescribing psychiatrists.
