Zencare’s outpatient office serves as a home base where you may occasionally meet colleagues or attend in-person training.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting comprehensive mental health evaluations through preliminary interviews, ensuring accurate documentation from the initial consultation to the end of treatment.

• Developing individualized treatment plans that align with clients' specific needs, including interventions for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques and therapies.
\n
• Monitoring client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create integrated care plans.
\n
• Providing valuable follow-up for clients who require additional support, especially those admitted to the hospital.
\n
• Identifying behaviors that could impede recovery and proactively addressing these challenges through supportive interventions.
\n
• Offering guidance and support to family members and caregivers, equipping them with tools to manage their loved ones' mental health issues effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work with a diverse population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families experiencing various mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and addiction issues. Your expertise will help empower clients to overcome barriers to their well-being, promoting resilience and emotional stability through a highly personalized approach.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Demonstrated proficiency in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to track client progress and maintain accurate records.
\n

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working in a mental health counseling role, showcasing a strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and client engagement strategies.

• Experience handling clients with complex emotional and behavioral issues, as well as those with co-occurring substance use disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices in mental health, as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• An in-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects on mental health, allowing for informed discussions with clients and their medical providers.
\n
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, coupled with outstanding interpersonal qualities that foster a compassionate therapeutic relationship.

Compensation and Benefits\n
