Accounting Manager

SHR Talent is partnering with a rapidly growing, multi-site organization headquartered in Nashville, TN, in their search for a Corporate Accounting Manager to join their accounting and finance leadership team. The Corporate Accounting Manager is a great opportunity for a driven accounting professional to step into a visible, hands-on leadership role within a collaborative and growth-focused environment.

As the Corporate Accounting Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the general ledger, monthly close, and financial reporting processes, and you will work closely with Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Operations leaders to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting. The Corporate Accounting Manager will also play a key part in developing and refining accounting policies, supporting audit activities, and implementing process enhancements as the company continues to scale.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the month-end close process to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements
• Supervise and review the work of accounting staff, providing training, feedback, and professional development
• Oversee account reconciliations, journal entries, and account analysis for multiple entities
• Ensure adherence to US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control policies
• Partner with Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and Operations teams to provide financial insights and variance analysis
• Coordinate with external auditors to support the annual audit process
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations
• Assist with system enhancements, policy documentation, and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, preferred
• 5 – 8 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role
• Blend of public accounting and corporate accounting experience, strongly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Workday, NetSuite, or similar
