divh2Payroll Analyst II, Canada/h2pThe Payroll Analyst II, Canada plays a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll within the Global PACE (Payroll, Automation, Customer Experience) organization. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners. The Payroll Analyst II will validate and audit payroll data, ensuring compliance with Canadian wage and hour laws, provincial and federal tax regulations, and company policies./ppSuccess in this role requires independent thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to manage large volumes of data. Additionally, the Payroll Analyst II will provide support to the Staff Payroll Analyst and offer guidance to managers and directors on payroll-related actions, policies, and procedures./ph3Responsibilities/h3pKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:/pulliAssist in the payroll input and review of the bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls in Canada./liliEnsure the accuracy of payroll inputs from third-party vendors, timekeeping systems, and HRIS platforms./liliPerform detailed analysis and validation of payroll results using reports and audits./liliAudit timekeeping system data before exporting it to the payroll system./liliReconcile HRIS (Workday) files with the payroll system (ADP)./liliConduct payroll general ledger account reconciliations and collaborate with the Accounting team to resolve discrepancies./liliPerform root cause analysis to identify issues and recommend preventative solutions./liliContinuously assess payroll processes for improvement opportunities and support standardization initiatives./liliDevelop and maintain clear and accurate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)./liliCommunicate effectively with internal partners, vendors and leadership, providing exceptional customer support./liliApply company policies to ensure correct payment of wages, overtime, bonuses, and benefit accruals./liliMaintain compliance with payroll regulations, tax legislation, and labor standards./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliBachelors degree preferred./liliPCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) or CPM (Certified Payroll Manager) certification is a plus./liliMinimum of 3 years of payroll-related experience, with at least one year supporting payroll in Canada./liliStrong understanding of payroll legislation and compliance requirements./liliExperience in payroll operations within a shared services or multi-province environment./liliAbility to manage tasks independently while applying documented guidelines and past practices./liliExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills./liliStrong time management and organizational abilities./liliProficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications./liliExperience with Workday and ADP Globalview systems./liliAbility to troubleshoot payroll issues and analyze reports./liliStrong interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing excellent customer service./liliCapacity to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement./li/ulpThis role offers a great opportunity for growth in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
