Dental Assistant IIRutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Dental Assistant II within the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM). Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor, the Dental Assistant II will provide essential clinical support to the Department of Pediatric Dentistry/Special Care. This role involves direct patient care, assisting dental providers during clinical procedures, and ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients with diverse needs.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: Serve as a Dental Assistant in the Pediatric Dentistry/Special Care Clinic. Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures. Prepare and organize tools needed for procedures. Ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments and operatory areas. Maintain patient confidentiality. Monitor and maintain dental supplies and equipment. Follow all infection control and safety protocols. Provide compassionate care and assistance to pediatric and special care patients. Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
