School Nurse

Golden Valley Charter Schools is seeking a compassionate and skilled Credentialed School Nurse to support student health and wellness across our school sites. This role is ideal for a nurse looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity while making a meaningful difference in students' lives. As part of a Waldorf-inspired, whole-child educational environment, our School Nurse helps ensure that students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn by addressing health-related barriers and supporting school-wide wellness.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Conduct mandated health screenings in accordance with California Education Code
• Assess student health needs and provide appropriate care and follow-up
• Provide first aid and emergency care for students and staff
• Develop and implement Individual Health Care Plans (IHCPs)
• Support IEP and 504 teams with health-related accommodations
• Maintain accurate, confidential health records
• Monitor communicable diseases and ensure compliance with reporting requirements
• Serve as a liaison between families, staff, and healthcare providers
• Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives
• Respond to school site needs on an as-needed/on-call basis

Skills & Qualifications:

• Valid California School Nurse Services Credential (required)
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field, or current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Experience working with school-aged children preferred
• Interest in or familiarity with Waldorf or whole-child education a plus
