Dental BILLING & Financial Coordinator

Financial Coordinator Location: Chattanooga, TN Employment Type: Full-Time A well-established pediatric dental practice in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Financial Coordinator to join a growing team dedicated to providing an exceptional experience for patients and families. The Financial Coordinator plays a critical role in helping patients understand treatment costs, insurance benefits, payment options, and financial arrangements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, confident discussing finances, and committed to delivering outstanding customer service while maintaining accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities Present treatment plans and review financial arrangements with patients and families Verify dental insurance benefits and eligibility prior to treatment Prepare accurate treatment estimates and explain patient financial responsibility Coordinate payment arrangements and financing options when applicable Process insurance claims and follow up on outstanding claims Monitor accounts receivable and assist with collections efforts as needed Post insurance and patient payments accurately Review Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) and resolve insurance discrepancies Maintain accurate patient financial records and documentation Communicate with insurance carriers regarding claims, benefits, and coverage questions Work closely with the front office and clinical team to ensure a smooth patient experience Provide exceptional customer service while handling sensitive financial conversations Qualifications Previous dental financial coordinator, treatment coordinator, insurance coordinator, or dental front office experience preferred Strong understanding of dental insurance plans, claims processing, and benefits verification Experience discussing treatment costs and financial arrangements with patients Knowledge of accounts receivable and insurance follow-up procedures Familiarity with Dentrix or similar dental practice management software preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset Compensation & Schedule Competitive hourly compensation based on experience Full-time position 4-day workweek Fridays off Established patient base and consistent workflow What the Practice Offers Supportive and collaborative team environment Stable, growing pediatric practice Organized systems and structured workflow Long-term career opportunity Positive office culture focused on patient care and teamwork This is an excellent opportunity for a Financial Coordinator who enjoys helping patients navigate the financial side of dental care while contributing to a positive and efficient office environment.
