Job Type: Full-Time | Onsite
Overview
Direct Counsel is seeking a mid-level M&A Associate to join a leading law firm in Fort Lauderdale. Work on sophisticated domestic and international transactions across industries including healthcare, tech, and financial services.
Responsibilities
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents (purchase agreements, LOIs, merger agreements)
- Manage due diligence and review corporate and regulatory materials
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (tax, finance, litigation)
- Support deal execution, closings, and post-closing matters
- Participate in client communications and strategy discussions
Qualifications
- 4–6 years of M&A and corporate experience
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple deals in a fast-paced environment
- Florida Bar admission required (or willingness to obtain)
- Private equity or cross-border experience is a plus
