Description: Prescreening is conducted. If recommended, candidates will be sent for manager approval. There is a 50-mile radius rule in place. Medical treatment rooms focus on ER CT scans. A candidate must have BLS and national registry certifications. Candidates can expect to perform 10-15 cases per day. The EMR system used is Cerner. A charge nurse supervisor is present Monday through Friday. Nurse aides are on duty. The evening shift is scheduled from 2 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday through Thursday. The facility celebrates holidays including Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. Scrub color is teal. Radiology services are available 24/7. Pharmacy services operate 6 AM to 5 PM; for night shifts, the main campus is used to mix medications. This role may require coverage for X-ray as well. Floor-specific orientation involves 1-2 shifts with a preceptor. Common diagnoses and types of patients include Angio studies and basic CT scans. No perfusion or cardiac studies are performed. Rare biopsy procedures may be expected. Candidates should be willing to perform X-ray duties if required. Limited resources may be available, and the candidate may be the only CT/X-ray technician on duty if others are in the OR. Cancellation policy allows the hospital to cancel up to 4 shifts for the 13-week assignment. Charting is done through Cerner. BSN is not required. A license is needed for job submission. The care setting is acute. The role covers all divisions.
