Work Environment\n

This is a remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while still being an integral part of our collaborative telehealth team. You will engage with clients through secure video conferencing platforms, ensuring privacy and accessibility. Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Independent Mental Health Counselor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough assessments to evaluate the presence and severity of eating disorder symptoms, alongside any co-occurring mental health conditions. You will be instrumental in determining appropriate treatment needs for each client.

• Developing tailored treatment plans in collaboration with clients, implementing achievable goals that foster recovery and personal growth.

• Delivering evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients navigate their challenges and achieve sustainable change.

• Facilitating therapy sessions that focus on reshaping clients' distorted beliefs about body image, self-worth, and food, thereby promoting healthier lifestyles.

• Equipping clients with effective coping strategies, emotional regulation skills, and techniques to combat disordered eating behaviors.

• Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care that addresses the holistic needs of each client, enhancing overall treatment efficacy.

• Providing psychoeducation to clients and their families to foster understanding and support in the recovery process.

• Maintaining meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with clients experiencing eating disorders, including teenagers and adults from diverse backgrounds. Your expertise will enable you to help them confront and overcome the complex interplay of eating behaviors and mental health issues, promoting recovery through compassion and fidelity to therapeutic techniques.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.

• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic methods, particularly CBT, DBT, and ACT.

• A deep understanding of eating disorders and associated co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Exceptional communication skills that allow for the establishment of trust and rapport with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

We prefer candidates with at least 2 years of experience in clinical practice, specifically those who have directly worked with eating disorders or in mental health settings focused on this area. Experience in remote counseling and teletherapy is a plus, helping to ensure a smooth transition into our telehealth model.

Compensation and Benefits\n
