Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Kansas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - HCA - Continental Division.

Additional Details:

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Familiar with pre- and post-op inpatient care. - Wound care. - Experience managing central lines (PICC, port, CVC).

Unit Details: - Medical Trauma unit. - Patient ratios: When not staffed with LPN teams: 1 RN to 6-7 patients; when staffed as LPN team model: 1 nurse to 5-6 patients. - May see wound vacs, NG tubes, and chest tubes. - Procedures are not performed directly on the unit, but the unit cares for patients with general surgeries (hernia repair, colon resection, thyroidectomy, complex wound procedures).
