About the Position

Job Title: CC/ICU RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU License: Valid RN license (WA or Compact) Certifications: ACLS, BLS, CCRN Must-Have: - Cardiovascular ICU experience preferred - Experience with ventilated patients - Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias - Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring - Ventilator management experience - Experience with conscious sedation Description: The position requires a CC/ICU RN who will float between units. Weekends are required, every other weekend. Block scheduling is required. Expected patient ratios are 1:1 & 1:2. Daily census in the unit is 24 patients. The unit diagnoses include post open heart surgeries, vascular surgeries, and post myocardial infarction patients. The RN will manage cardiogenic shock patients with or without devices including IABP, impellas, and VAD. Experience with CRRT and ECLS for cardiac and respiratory failure is needed. General ICU overflow patients may also be included. Interdisciplinary support is available in areas such as Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services. The position includes the management of patients requiring advanced care. The nurse will work closely with various support teams, including Rapid Response Teams and Pharmacy. It is important that the RN maintains flexibility to float between facilities when needed. Additional skills and competencies will be assessed during the onboarding process.
