Administrative Assistant

Administrative Assistant Beecher Elementary School Beecher School District 200U is seeking one 11‑month administrative assistant for the 2026-2027 school year. The administrative assistant provides assistance in the daily operations of the school by supporting the work of the principal and serving as a point of contact for students, staff, and the public. Essential Functions Greets all visitors with courtesy and ensures security procedures are consistently followed Answers the telephone in a professional courteous manner Communicates effectively with teachers, staff, parents, and community members Maintains a flexible daily work schedule Keeps the principal informed of all important calls, visitors, messages and other events pertaining to the function of the school Assists with employee absences and substitute placements Schedules meetings and appointments Creates reports as specified by the building principal Ensures needed supplies are available and office equipment is in working order Manages student registration process and student fees Maintains strict confidentiality of all office, school, and personnel information Handles all minor accidents and illnesses that come to the office efficiently and professionally in accordance with school policies Assists with management of student activities accounts by placing orders and tracking receipts Assists with management of ordering supplies utilizing purchase orders Completes all state reports (SIS, IEP, ELL, etc.) Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail Proficient in typing, filing, and other clerical functions Proficient in standard office software applications including Microsoft Word, internet usage, email, and Microsoft Excel Excellent interpersonal communication skills Ability to interact with children in a positive and nurturing manner Ability to multi‑task while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor Be of good health and character Be able to follow both written and oral directions Willing to work with and around adults and children Be able to follow a set of work schedules and procedures Willing to learn new skills and follow directions Must submit to a criminal background investigation and provide a recent physical. Terms of Employment Full‑time position, 11‑month year.
