Description

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week travel contract in Charlotte, NC, working 10-hour night shifts in a high-volume CT department.

Details

• Work in the CT Scan department of an acute care hospital (373 licensed beds) with no trauma designation
• Department offers CT, X-ray, Ultrasound, MRI, Interventional Radiology, and Nuclear Medicine with Radiology Nursing support; facility is TJC Stroke accredited
• Patient population includes ED, inpatient, observation, and outpatient
• Department performs CT-guided invasive procedures, cases with anesthesia as needed, and Cardiac CT imaging (day shift, 7 days/week)
• Average of 160 studies per weekday and 120 studies on weekends
• 3 CT scanners on-site: Siemens Definition AS 40, Siemens Force, and Siemens Edge+
• Bayer/Medrad Power Injectors used for contrast administration
• EMR: Epic (Epic Radiant RIS); PACS: Philips iSite
• 10-hour night shifts, 2:00 PM – 12:30 AM, 40 hours per week
• No floating required
• On-call requirements apply
• Travelers are expected to work 75% of holidays

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience, with most recent experience within the last year
• ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology with advanced registry in CT
• Active license required if applicable
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency in venous and arterial phase scanning, multi-phase scanning, stroke imaging including perfusion, and colorectal studies
• Ability to start peripheral IVs
• 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN
• Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration
• Candidates must reside 50+ miles from the facility to be eligible

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered
• TeraRecon experience is preferred but not required
• Transport and Guest Services support is available for inpatient and observation patients
• Orientation includes 1 day of administrative onboarding (Epic, eLearnings, policy review) and up to 1 week of departmental orientation as needed
• Departmental orientation days may include weekdays even if the scheduled position is a weekend shift
• Black scrubs are required
• Free parking is available in surface lots and parking decks on-site
