About the Role
The Company is seeking a General Counsel with a strong commercial focus to take on a pivotal role in managing the full lifecycle of customer and vendor agreements. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a high volume of SaaS agreements, including MSAs, Order Forms, DPAs, NDAs, and partner/reseller agreements. This role demands a high degree of independence, the ability to operate across multiple time zones, and a close partnership with stakeholders to enable deals while effectively managing risk. The General Counsel will also be involved in process improvements, international deal structuring, and ensuring compliance with data privacy and security obligations. Applicants must have an active license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction, with a minimum of 5 years' of relevant experience, and a strong preference for those with 6-10 years' in commercial contracting roles. Deep knowledge of SaaS contract structures, strong commercial instincts, and the ability to negotiate directly with enterprise counterparts are essential. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record of collaboration, the ability to manage competing priorities, and a focus on achieving meaningful business outcomes. Experience in data privacy, IT security, or corporate law is meritorious, and exposure to international contracting and data privacy frameworks is a must. The ideal candidate will have in-house experience at a SaaS or technology company and be familiar with CLM tools. Key competencies include commercial judgment, speed, pragmatism, communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
