Director of Nursing In Training

The Director of Nursing in Training or DIT is a program offered by Regency Integrated Health Services that provides on-the-job training while employed as a Registered Nurse and/ or a DON in Training position. DON’s in Training work under the direction of a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing facility. DON’s in Training will be precepted regarding skills for resident quality care that promotes the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychological well-being of each resident as determined by resident assessments and individual plans of care.Responsible for interdisciplinary involvement in the development of plans of care to meet each resident's needsOversee/direct/coordinate nursing staff to provide proper resident care consistent with standard nursing practicesKeep current with the changes in all regulations related to resident careCommunicate with attending physician and medical director regarding resident care issues as neededAssure provision of appropriate medication, treatments and nursing services according to care plans and physician’s instructionsAssure compliance with state/federal regulations and company standardsPerform direct care/procedures when needed; such may include procedures for which the staff is not qualified or licensed to performDevelop and verify the implementation of POCsAttend QAPI meetingsReview any/all regulatory reports (2567, Quality Monitoring reports, Quality Measures, etc.)Review resident clinical recordsReview facility reports (facility QA reports and 5 Star reports, etc.)Review consultant reports and provide feedback on any POCCommunicate and coordinate with physicians, discharge planners or appropriate facility representatives from health care facilities regarding resident admissions, transfers, and discharges as neededCommunicate and supervise nursing personnel with respect to professional conduct and counsel employees about job performance as neededProvide training to the pertinent facility staffUse diplomacy but firmness in settling any disputes, complaints, etc. concerning nursing personnel or residents or families in conjunction with the AdministratorJob Qualifications:A Registered Nurse License is RequiredExperience in a skilled nursing facility is preferredMust reside in Texas and have the ability to relocate in Texas based on assignment and company needs #J-18808-Ljbffr Fort Worth Transitional Care Center
