Step into a meaningful role impacting the lives of students in a Setting 3 classroom focused on Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This full-time contract opportunity, beginning August 31, 2026, and running through June 4, 2027, offers an immersive experience supporting a close-knit group of approximately 6–10 students. You’ll be at a single site, ensuring consistency and fostering lasting relationships with students and colleagues alike.
Ideal candidates bring expertise in Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), and thrive in specialized settings where their skills make a significant difference. Your compassion, adaptability, and commitment will shine as you help students exceed expectations and achieve their goals.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education license (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Preference for candidates certified in EBD or ASD (ABS licensure also considered)
- Demonstrated experience supporting students with DCD or ASD in Setting 3 classrooms
- Strong classroom management abilities and the flexibility to adapt instructional strategies
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with families, staff, and specialists
- Passion for fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver individualized instruction tailored to each student’s IEP
- Facilitate academic, functional, and social-emotional growth in a cluster setting
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team and engage with families to support student success
- Develop specialized materials, manage data collection, and maintain accurate progress records
- Cultivate a safe, respectful classroom culture that empowers student independence
