Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous classroom experience preferred, particularly with students requiring specialized support
• Strong proficiency in developing and implementing IEPs
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with staff, parents, and external service providers
• Flexible mindset and ability to quickly adapt to new school environments
• Ability to build positive, empowering relationships with students

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to students’ unique needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to promote inclusive learning
• Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate educational records and compliance with state and federal regulations
• Utilize evidence-based practices to foster academic and social success for all learners
• Engage in parent-teacher conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings

Assignments are offered at several school sites, ranging from early elementary to high school, including specialized classrooms for students in lower Step Ahead and Lower/Upper Rising Stars programs. School locations include Peoria, Phoenix West, and Tempe.
