Assistant Controller

We are partnering with a mission-driven healthcare organization seeking an Assistant Controller to join its growing finance leadership team. What You'll Do Support the Controller in overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting activities. Assist with month‑end close, account reconciliations, audit preparation, and financial statement review. Help maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and federal regulations. Support budgeting, forecasting, grant accounting, and financial compliance efforts. Supervise and develop members of the accounting team, including accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable staff. Partner with leadership to improve processes, enhance reporting capabilities, and strengthen accounting operations. Contribute to ongoing initiatives focused on operational efficiency and organizational growth. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. CPA strongly preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Experience with financial reporting, audits, internal controls, and accounting operations. Background in healthcare, nonprofit, community health center, or FQHC environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with grants management, federal compliance, and fund accounting is a plus. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment. Why This Opportunity?
