HR Generalist - 20-24 hours/week

This is an independent, hands-on role for an HR professional who can take ownership of payroll, benefits, recruiting, onboarding, employee records, and general HR administration with minimal supervision. This person will report directly to the President of the organization.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Payroll

o Manage and coordinate the company’s payroll process from start to finish with QuickBooks.

o Review payroll for accuracy, including wages, deductions, benefits, PTO, and other changes.

o Coordinate payroll-related tax, reporting, and compliance requirements.

o Resolve payroll questions and discrepancies.

 

· Benefits

o Administer employee benefits programs and serve as the primary HR contact for employee benefit questions.

o Coordinate new-hire benefit enrollment and employee changes.

o Manage annual open enrollment.

o Work with insurance brokers and benefits providers.

 

·  Recruiting

o Manage the recruiting process from identifying hiring needs through onboarding.

o Develop and post job descriptions.

o Screen applicants and coordinate interviews.

o Coordinate background checks, drug screening and reference checks.

 

· Employee Lifecycle

o Manage onboarding and new-hire paperwork.

o Coordinate employee orientation and ensure required documentation is completed.

o Maintain confidential personnel files and HR records.

o Track PTO and other employee-related information.

o Serve as a trusted HR source for employees and management.

o Maintain and update company HR policies and procedures.

 

Requirements:

· 5-8 years of progressive HR experience.

· 2+ years of experience supporting an organization with 25-100 employees

· Direct experience managing payroll and benefits administration.

· Direct recruiting experience.

· Experience working independently with minimal supervision.

· Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.

· Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

· Ability to work onsite in Suwanee, Georgia 3 days per week. (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday OR Monday, Wednesday, Thursday)
