As our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) , you will play a vital leadership role in overseeing the daily operations of our nursing department and utilizing your nursing expertise to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents. About The Role As a seasoned nurse leader, you will lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a positive and respectful work environment. You will work closely with our Director of Nursing to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that align with our mission to provide compassionate and high-quality care to our residents. Responsibilities Oversee the daily operations of the nursing department, including staff supervision, scheduling, and performance evaluations Develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that promote excellent patient care and quality outcomes Collaborate with other departments, including rehabilitation, social services, and administration, to ensure seamless delivery of care Conduct routine rounds to assess quality of care, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance to nursing staff Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data analysis and chart reviews to optimize patient outcomes Develop and maintain effective relationships with regulatory agencies, such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations Mentor and coach nursing staff to enhance skills and knowledge, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional growth Requirements Current RN license in the state of Florida Minimum of 2 years of experience in a long-term care or acute care setting as an ADON Strong leadership and management skills, with experience overseeing nursing staff Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities Why Join Us At Terraces of Lake Worth Care Center, we pride ourselves on our commitment to compassion, respect, and dignity in the care we provide to our residents.
