Packaging Technician

The Fountain Group is currently seeking a Packaging Technician for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Athens, GA. Details for the position are as follows:
Job Title: Vaccine Packaging Operator - 2nd Shift
Location: TBD
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Duration: 2 months
Schedule: 2:30 PM-11:00 PM, 40 hours/week

• Operate packaging equipment used for vaccine labeling and finished-goods packaging, including labelers, pick-and-place systems, heat tunnels, vision systems, and forklifts.
• Inspect finished products for accuracy and compliance with quality requirements.
• Perform equipment setup, changeovers, and line clearances.
• Conduct initial troubleshooting of packaging equipment and escalate unresolved issues.
• Package and label finished vaccine products while maintaining required production line rates.
• Complete batch records, manufacturing records, data capture forms, and cGMP documentation accurately and timely.
• Monitor production processes against approved manufacturing records and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and work areas according to established procedures.
• Follow cGMP, SOP, HSE, and applicable manufacturing requirements.
• Support cross-training and other packaging activities as required.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2-3 years of manufacturing experience.

• Hands-on experience operating manufacturing or packaging equipment.
• Experience with equipment setup, changeover, and basic troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of cGMP and SOP requirements in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with batch records, manufacturing documentation, or production data capture.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Experience working in a quality-controlled manufacturing environment.

• 5+ years of related manufacturing or packaging experience.
• Forklift certification.
• Experience in pharmaceutical, vaccine, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
