Virtual Reimbursement Manager

Description The Virtual Reimbursement Manager (VRM) will support multiple accounts in a specified geographic region, managing access processes and ensuring coverage, reimbursement services, and collaboration with stakeholders. Responsibilities Reactively support multiple accounts through the access process. Execute the collaborative territory strategic plan with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure understanding of coverage, access process, and reimbursement services. Demonstrate consultative support to help offices obtain insurance authorization and reimbursement. Manage daily activities to support appropriate patient access to the client’s products in provider offices. Serve as payer expert for defined geography and communicate payer changes to key stakeholders in a timely manner. Offer office education throughout the access process, including formulary coverage/utilization management criteria, insurance forms & procedures, benefits investigation, prior authorization, and appeals. Educate offices using approved materials and physician office staff on use of client’s patient support services, including web‑based provider portals. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum two years of experience in third‑party reimbursement or access arena or pharmaceutical industry in managed care or clinical support. Demonstrated understanding of access, coverage, and reimbursement issues in the retail channel, including commercial and federal healthcare program utilization management tools such as prior authorization, step edits, and denials. Ability to educate offices on access processes, including experience educating HCPs on patient service programs (copay, bridge, patient assistance, etc.), delivering educational presentations, and advanced knowledge of medical insurance terminology. Knowledge of CMS policies and processes with expertise in Medicare Parts B & D. Compensation & Benefits The annual base salary ranges from $140,000 to $150,000, with potential company car or car allowance and eligibility for commissions/bonus based on performance.
