Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides essential nursing care to patients in long-term care or skilled nursing facility settings. Working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, the LPN ensures patient comfort, safety, and effective treatment delivery.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer medications and treatments accurately, including respiratory therapies, while documenting all care activities.
  
  
• 
  Perform direct patient care such as hygiene, vital signs, and monitoring patient conditions.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with Registered Nurses to develop, update, and execute individualized care plans.
  
  
• 
  Report patient condition changes and incidents promptly, taking appropriate action in emergencies.
  
  
• 
  Enforce infection control policies to maintain a safe and sanitary environment.
  
  
• 
  Educate patients and their families during hospitalization and at discharge regarding care procedures and health management.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Graduate of an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program with current licensure.
  
  
• 
  Possess CPR and ACLS certifications to ensure clinical readiness.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate strong visual, auditory, and manual dexterity for accurate patient assessments and care.
  
  
• 
  Possess basic computer skills and the ability to learn facility-specific software.
  
  
• 
  Exhibit excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
  
  
• 
  Maintain professional competence through continued education and training.
