CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist to join its growing production team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a dependable, detail-oriented machinist with strong CNC lathe setup and operating experience. Previous CNC milling experience is highly desirable but not required. The ideal candidate takes pride in producing high-quality precision-machined components, demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude, and can work independently while contributing to a team-oriented manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision components according to engineering drawings and specifications. Perform machine setups, tooling changes, offsets, and adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining specifications. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, calipers, and gauges. Monitor machining operations, troubleshoot production issues, and make necessary adjustments. Maintain quality standards, minimize scrap, and ensure production deadlines are met. Assist with CNC milling operations when needed, based on experience. Perform routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, safe work environment. Potentially assist with training and mentoring junior machinists. Qualifications Proven experience setting up and operating CNC lathe machines. Strong understanding of machining principles, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and tolerances. Ability to read mechanical blueprints and use precision measuring equipment. Experience making machine offsets, tooling adjustments, and troubleshooting machining issues. CNC milling experience is a strong plus. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
