Key Responsibilities

• Order, perform, or interpret the results of diagnostic tests, such as complete blood counts (CBCs), electrocardiograms (EKGs), and radiographs (X-rays), ensuring timely and accurate patient assessments.
• Analyze and interpret patient histories, symptoms, and diagnostic information to develop precise diagnoses, utilizing evidence-based guidelines.
• Craft personalized treatment plans that adhere to current scientific rationale and professional practice standards, enhancing patient compliance and health outcomes.
• Diagnose and treat acute healthcare concerns, including infections, injuries, and other conditions commonly seen in the population we serve, ensuring that each patient's needs are addressed holistically.
• Prescribe medications thoughtfully, based on assessed efficacy, safety, and cost, while adhering to all legal regulations.
• Guide patients in lifestyle modifications and recommend interventions to reduce health risks, thereby promoting better overall wellness among our residents.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role as a Nurse Practitioner, you will cater to a diverse client base, primarily focusing on elderly patients residing in our assisted living facility. These individuals often present with chronic conditions and complex medical needs. Your ability to provide empathetic, thorough care will enhance their quality of life and support their individual health journeys.

Qualifications

• A national certification from either the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) is required.
• An active and unrestricted nurse practitioner license in the state of New York.
• Eligible candidates must possess U.S. work authorization and the ability to thrive in a flexible work schedule.
• A Master of Science in Nursing, Doctor of Nursing Practice, or a completion of an NP Certificate Program.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working in geriatric care or an assisted living setting is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this position ranges from $150,000 to $160,000 annually, dependent on your caseload and experience.
