We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Brighton, Colorado. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting close activities, and delivering meaningful analysis that helps guide business decisions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting experience, sound judgment, and the ability to work effectively across multiple areas of finance in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day general ledger activity, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, accruals, and other accounting adjustments.
• Lead account reconciliation efforts by analyzing balance sheet and bank activity, identifying variances, and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end close cycles by coordinating schedules, validating financial data, and helping ensure timely completion.
• Produce financial statements and related supporting reports, then review results to highlight trends, issues, and operational impacts.
• Monitor expenses, inventory balances, and budget performance while helping develop departmental or product-line budgets using historical results and business assumptions.
• Contribute to cash flow reporting and forecasting by compiling financial information and assisting with forward-looking analyses.
• Provide backup and support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting functions when needed.
• Maintain fixed asset records, calculate depreciation, and assist with inventory accounting, reconciliations, and cost-related analysis in an inventory-focused environment.
• Prepare audit-ready schedules and documentation for external auditors, tax advisors, lenders, and other third parties, and assist with special financial projects for management.• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and relevant experience.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience in a Senior Accountant, Staff Accountant, or comparable role.
• Strong command of general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliation processes.
• Hands-on experience with journal entries, bank reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting entries, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and solve problems effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Solid analytical skills and the ability to communicate accounting information clearly to colleagues in other departments.
• Experience in manufacturing or other inventory-intensive environments is preferred, including exposure to inventory accounting and reconciliations.
• Familiarity with cost accounting, cash flow forecasting, or multi-entity accounting structures is preferred but not required.
