Retail Operations Manager for AI Training

Retail Operations Managers apply hands-on store and warehouse expertise to evaluate AI-generated retail content and produce expert-level training data that improves AI understanding of retail operations workflows and practices.

• Use real-world experience with store operations, inventory control, and warehouse receiving to assess AI-generated responses for accuracy and relevance.
• Create and label training data derived from the tools and processes you use in daily work.
• Provide detailed, actionable feedback that helps AI models reflect practical retail workflows and standards.
• Draw on store performance monitoring and reporting, cash and inventory reconciliation, and warehouse receiving procedures when judging outputs.

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in retail operations management, for example Retail Operations Manager, Director, or equivalent retail industry roles.
• Hands-on familiarity with retail operations workflows, including store performance monitoring and reporting, cash and inventory reconciliation, and warehouse receiving operations.
• Strong written communication skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in an asynchronous research context.

• Engagement is project-based, hourly contract work, not a traditional full-time employment relationship.
• Fully remote, with a flexible asynchronous schedule and no minimum hour requirement.
• Most contributors work approximately 5 to 20 hours per week when participating in an active project.
• This role can be performed alongside research, teaching, postdoctoral work, or industry employment.
• Placement on specific projects depends on current project needs; contributors may be considered for additional projects as they become available.

Up to $80/hr (depending on the project)

• F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate, but you must consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility.
• If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, the platform used for these projects may not meet that requirement.
• STEM OPT is not supported for these projects.
