Job Overview Our organization is looking for a Registered Nurse to join the Pediatric Emergency Room team at our New Brunswick campus. Qualifications Required: * Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Nursing Diploma * Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification * 4 to 5 years of experience as a Pediatric Emergency Department RN or in Pediatric Critical Care * Excellent communication and organizational abilities * Strong computer proficiency Preferred: * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or completion within 5 years of hire * Experience as a Pediatric RN is highly desirable * National certification and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred Certifications and Licenses * Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications * Active Registered Nurse License in New Jersey Scheduling Requirements * Night Shift Essential Functions * The Registered Nurse delivers nursing care within the framework established by the Nurse Practice Act and adheres to ethical standards as outlined by the ANA code of ethics. * Ensures safety in practice while applying evidence-based principles, recognizing personal knowledge and experience levels, and taking responsibility for enhancing the knowledge of self and the patient care team through effective communication and resource utilization. * Responsible for reporting safety concerns, including hazardous conditions and medical errors. * Maintains knowledge of the patient demographics served. * Supervises and directs task delegation to appropriate team members while collaborating with other healthcare providers. * Sets and evaluates priorities consistently, implementing interventions with measurable outcomes aimed at improvement. * Acts as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to tailor care plans to meet specific patient needs.
