This contract-to-hire role offers the chance to work closely with students, educators, and families throughout the full 2025-2026 school year, providing essential speech and language services in a supportive school environment. With a schedule of 3-4 days per week, this position gives you the flexibility to balance your professional and personal commitments.
Key Qualifications:
- Current CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology)
- Valid state licensure (or eligibility) for practice as an SLP in Illinois
- Previous experience working in school settings, particularly with K-8 populations
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive learning environments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and families to support each student’s communication goals
- Monitor progress, document outcomes, and adjust services as needed throughout the school year
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to comprehensive educational planning
- Employ creative and evidence-based approaches tailored to students’ diverse needs
