We are looking for an Accounting Clerk to join a busy accounting team in Midland, Texas on a Long-term Contract basis. This position supports essential financial operations by maintaining accurate records, preparing routine accounting entries, and helping keep daily cash activity and reconciliations current. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare and update daily cash reports to support accurate tracking of incoming and outgoing funds.
• Reconcile bank activity, cash balances, and general ledger accounts to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Enter and post journal entries with attention to accuracy and proper supporting documentation.
• Maintain fixed asset records, including additions, updates, and ongoing account support.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, including invoice review and data entry.
• Support month-end accounting activities by completing reconciliations and helping organize financial records.
• Review account activity across balance sheet categories to ensure transactions are recorded correctly.
• Work closely with the accounting team to manage routine financial tasks while meeting deadlines and quality standards.• Prior experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a similar finance support role is preferred.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required for reporting, reconciliation, and data management tasks.
• Experience with account reconciliation, journal entries, and daily cash tracking is highly valued.
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, and financial data entry is preferred.
• Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and general ledger support is an asset.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments effectively in a team-oriented, fast-moving workplace.
