As a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, you will collaborate closely with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurse practitioners, and support staff, all dedicated to delivering outstanding care. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of women's health, including gathering medical histories, performing physical examinations, and implementing necessary screening tests.
• Diagnose and address a range of women's health issues including reproductive health concerns, gynecological disorders, menstrual irregularities, and menopause-related symptoms.
• Offer family planning services such as contraceptive counseling, method selection, and reproductive health education tailored to patient needs.
• Perform routine gynecological procedures including Pap smears and breast examinations, ensuring adherence to preventive care guidelines.
• Manage prenatal care for expecting mothers, providing crucial education and monitoring fetal health throughout the pregnancy journey.
• Facilitate collaboration with obstetricians and other healthcare providers to optimize pregnancy outcomes.
• Deliver comprehensive education on sexual and reproductive health topics, focusing on STD prevention, fertility awareness, and preconception preparation.
• Utilize evidence-based practice to order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as ultrasounds and lab results, implementing tailored treatment strategies based on findings.
• Prescribe necessary medications and perform follow-up evaluations to monitor treatment progress and address side effects.
• Foster patient education regarding self-care, lifestyle modifications, and preventive health measures.
• Accurately document patient information and interactions in our electronic health record (EHR) system to maintain comprehensive medical records.
• Engage in continuous quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient care and clinical outcomes.
• Stay abreast of the latest developments in women's health and engage in ongoing professional education and training.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will encompass a diverse patient population, including adolescents, women of reproductive age, and those transitioning through menopause. You will advocate for women’s health across various socio-economic backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care and accessible health resources. Every interaction you have will aim to empower women with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions regarding their health.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with a specialization in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner.
• Current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Texas.
• Board certification as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner is mandatory.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in a women’s health, OB/GYN, or primary care setting.
• In-depth knowledge of women’s health issues, encompassing gynecological care, reproductive health, prenatal care, and management of menopause.
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing gynecological examinations and other assessments relevant to women’s health.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a hospital setting or a multidisciplinary women's health clinic.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices.
• Additional certifications in areas such as lactation consultation or family planning are advantageous.

Compensation and Benefits
