Work Environment

This position will be primarily onsite at a local school, where your daily activities include engaging with students, parents, and teachers to promote health education and access to medical services. You can expect a structured work schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with flexibility for occasional evening clinics or community events, resulting in approximately 40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough health assessments and screenings tailored to the unique needs of students and their families.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of health conditions, ensuring appropriate preventive care and health promotion strategies are implemented.
• Collaborate with educational staff and community organizations to design and implement health education programs aimed at improving community awareness and health literacy.
• Provide culturally competent care, advocating for the rights of patients, while ensuring they have access to necessary healthcare services.
• Coordinate referrals, manage follow-up care, and maintain continuity of care for patients with chronic or complex health needs.
• Document patient interactions and care provided in compliance with health regulations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Engage actively in community outreach initiatives, such as health fairs and workshops, to promote preventive care and provide essential health screenings.
• Stay informed about current health trends, evidence-based practices, and policy updates to enhance care delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Family Nurse Practitioner in this role, you will work primarily with student populations and their families, addressing a diverse array of health concerns. Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Active and unrestricted nursing license in the state of Texas.
• A Bachelor's degree in nursing, with a Master's degree from an accredited nursing program preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
