Lead Application Developer

Salary: $120,000 - 160,000 per year Requirements:

• Strong skills in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Backend development experience with NestJS, Node.js, or comparable frameworks.
• Experience building modern, responsive frontend applications with Angular, React, or similar technologies.
• Extensive experience with AWS, including ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch, and related services.
• Solid Docker and container-based deployment experience.
• Hands-on Terraform experience for provisioning and managing AWS infrastructure.
• Demonstrated experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with GitLab CI/CD.
• Strong knowledge of Git and GitLab workflows.
• Experience integrating applications with enterprise identity providers, particularly Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Familiarity with artifact repositories such as CloudSmith.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and relational databases; PostgreSQL is preferred.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine.
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• AWS certification, such as Generative AI Developer.
• Preferred: Experience with headless CMS platforms such as Contentful; exposure to AWS Kiro; knowledge of ZScaler and zero-trust network architectures; experience with Java or Kotlin, Kafka or AWS Kinesis, AWS Lambda and serverless architectures; familiarity with CloudWatch, X-Ray, or other monitoring tools; and experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using cloud-native AWS architecture.
• Build and manage AWS infrastructure and services, including ECS, EC2, Lambda, S3, and RDS.
• Develop and deploy Docker-containerized applications on AWS ECS, and support VM-based applications as needed.
• Implement and maintain repeatable, version-controlled infrastructure using Terraform.
• Design and manage GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
• Configure and administer CloudSmith artifact repositories for secure package distribution.
• Integrate and manage authentication and authorization through Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Apply security best practices and collaborate on ZScaler configurations for secure network access.
• Partner with product managers, Platform Engineers, and developers to deliver robust solutions.
• Improve application reliability and security, and troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.
• Keep up with developments in AWS services, cloud development, and DevOps practices.

We are hiring a Full Stack Engineer to join our team, focused on AWS cloud development and deployments. The base salary ranges from $120,000 per year in our lowest U.S. geographic market to $160,000 per year, plus a bonus, in our highest market.
